Mango sets up shop in 75 JCPenney stores

 The department store will be the exclusive distributor of MNG by Mango in the US.Spanish chainstore Mango has reached a deal with JCPenney which will make the department store the exclusive distributor of MNG by Mango as of autumn-winter 2010/11. This will enable the Spanish brand to grow in a market where it already has 12 shops. 

MNG by Mango will be available in 300 sq.m. shop-in-shops in 75 JCPenney stores, and its collections will also go on sale at The aim is to set up in 600 branches of this USA giant by autumn 2011. 

Under the MNG by Mango label, the brand will sell its women’s sports and casual wear as well as accessories. JCPenney will publicise the brand through its marketing campaigns on television, the Internet, direct e-mail and preprints. MNG by Mango will also take part in JCPenney promotions. 

JCPenney is a key name in North American retail and has 1,109 stores in the US and Puerto Rico. Its e-shop is one of the biggest in womenswear and home furnishings. The company made $18.5 billion in 2008. 

Since it went global in 1992, Mango has entered 94 markets and has 1,300 standalones. In 2008, it notched up turnover of $1.44 billion, up 8% on 2007.From Fashionfromspain
