Adolfo Dominguez´s spring-summer 2010 catwalk report:
Adolfo Domínguez models strode on to the catwalk in total silence. The sound failed, but everything else dazzled, when the Galician designer, accompanied by a radiant Gwyneth Paltrow, returned to Cibeles after a lengthy absence.
True to form, the show was all elegance, in a women’s collection based on casual sophistication. Draping set the trend for dresses and off the shoulder jumpsuits, the essence of femininity. Colours ranged from midnight blue to lilac, fuchsia, red and beige, with tribal prints.
For him, Domínguez brought back the brand’s trademark crumpled look. The relaxed tailoring takes in parkas, bikers and knitwear. The colours are also bright, with white demanding pride of place for summer, but leaving room for a softer range of creams.
